All About Greg Blatt: Modern CEO, Professional Thinker

Greg Blatt is an American businessman who co-founded the global marketing company WPP Group. He served as CEO for ten years, where he was responsible for the company’s growth from a small British firm to one of the world’s most extensive marketing and advertising organizations. After his tenure with WPP, Mr Blatt went on to work in private equity at Apollo Global Management LLC before joining Alphabet Inc., Google’s parent company, as Executive Vice President – Americas Region.

Blatt helped steer Google through its most turbulent time since it went public in 2004 by steering clear of corporate politics and focusing on what mattered: growing revenue and profits while supporting employees during difficult times.”

Blatt’s tenure as CEO of Tinder began after he took the helm in December 2016. Early this year, he joined Match Group, Inc., parent company of and Tinder, to help improve performance at each brand by focusing on “the customer.”

Greg Blatt graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor’s from Colgate and a law degree from Columbia. He started his career in finance. In 1995 Greg became most notable for completing his PhD in economics from the London School of Economics. He is the author of “The Leadership Style Handbook: A Guide to Visionary Approaches for Successful Leaders” (2003), translated into several languages, including Chinese, Russian and Spanish.
