Bhanu Choudhrie’s an experienced executive with deep insights into international business and finance, having worked for over two decades in senior positions with leading global firms like Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Deutsche Bank. He will be an influential member of this board which supports entrepreneurship at Oxford University. C&C Alpha Group has acquired and launched a host of successful businesses in India including movie theaters, restaurants, real estate, education and publishing. The group has a considerable portfolio of investments and projects in India. They currently own theaters in India and around the world and have a franchise arrangement with the Regal Cinemas Group. Bhanu Choudhrie is also Chairman of the Dream Cinema Group, a Mumbai-based movie theater operator.
In addition, C&C Alpha Aviation Group is developing the Broadview Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in Mumbai. The group currently owns around 18 acres of prime real estate in India. Bhanu Choudhrie’s group is heavily involved in real estate development in Mumbai, where they are developing residential and commercial real estate and investment properties. In January 2016, Choudhrie launched National Capital Matchmaking Services, a matchmaking company for Indo-Canadians. The services offered by NCS are personalized in nature and include introductions to high-net-worth individuals as well as the introduction of business opportunities. The formation of NCS was announced in the “Time” issue of “Time” on 2nd August 2016, as part of its series “Who’s Changing the World?”.
In July 2016, Bhanu Choudhrie Alpha Aviation Group was selected as one of the “50 Most Influential Indians in the World. “Bhanu Choudhrie is the co-founder of the Indraprastha Health Enterprise, a healthcare company based in New Delhi. He also serves on the board of directors of BECU, a Seattle-based credit union in the Greater Puget Sound Area.
